UOC parish is established in Valencia

With the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, a new parish of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was established in Valencia (Spain).

The newly founded parish was organised by Orthodox Ukrainians living in Valencia and the surrounding areas. Archpriest Volodymyr Levcheniuk was appointed rector of the community.

The first Divine Liturgy was celebrated on June 4, 2023, on the feast of the Holy Trinity.

As a reminder, the Local Council of the UOC of 27.05.2022 in its Resolution declared for the need to “further develop the mission abroad among Orthodox Ukrainians in order to preserve their faith, culture, language and Orthodox identity”.
